Jacquelyn Pui Is Stretching To Make Ends Meet
The ends of our hearts more like. Fuuwah! knows how to extend the welcoming hand of hospitality to all the lovely ladies that grace our pages and there have been some pretty memorable ones from full-time catwalkers to emcees and the occasional girl next door.
Jacquelyn Pui however can lay claim to being the first professional dancer that has stepped; or stretched in her case, in front of our lenses. We doubt anyone would also dispute crowning her the most flexible or limber girl to give us the time of day.
Tearing up the dancefloor is a regular weekend for the lithe beauty but how exactly did she make the transition from breakdancing to breaking our hearts?
A proud small town girl, her love for art and expressing herself was the main catalyst that propagated a love for some sensual dance moves.
Despite the dancing, Jacquelyn’s limberness stems from being a yogini and is an instructor as well. So if you ever had the idea of taking up yoga, here’s your headstart. It’s the combination of practicing yoga and dancing with her crew that she credits for keeping her in shape and those joints loose.
“Hence, everyday I’m performing intense movements that double up as a workout routine because let’s face it, exercise is the best way to keep fit,” she explained.
Nonetheless, like most woman Jacquelyn has a sweet tooth and attests to the fact that some some cake accompanied with coffee is the best way to subdue a hangry situation.
Don’t let that disarming smile fool you though, she’s got an adventurous streak and it revolves around the paranormal.
“I recall venturing into a haunted house with my friends back in secondary school. It was pitch black that night and someone came up with the questionable idea of going into the house. Of course we had strength in numbers because there were like 10 of us. In the end, it was fun because we were scared stiff but we were laughing in the same time as nothing actually happened,” she laughed reminiscing about it.
So how does a yogini and dancer relax over the weekend? Not surprisingly, it’s with more yoga and dancing but you might also be able to catch her at a cosy café or neighbourhood pub for a pint or two.
If the stars aligned and you catch a guy’s eye (something of a daily occurrence we imagine), how does he go about striking a conversation with you?
“For starters, I like guys with a positive attitude and a certain degree of confidence in them. Plus, best dressed is always first in, being into fashion means I do notice how a guy dresses and some effort there goes a long way,” she hinted.
Last one for the day then, what’s a perfect date for the lovely Jacquelyn? We imagine couples yoga or a dance lesson but she’s a bit more open to anything, as long as there’s some thought and effort put into it.
“All that matters is that it comes from the heart.”
And believe us, we’ve got our hearts longing for her. Follow her on Instagram @jacquelyn_pui
